Enterprise Lens

High-level views of applications and the infrastructure on which they depend.  Organize your data into views that rank your applications and infrastructure by their key performance indicators, and get a breakdown in categories relevant to your business

Enterprise Lens

The Enterprise Lens measures key application and network metrics at a granular level - for example, individual web servers or branch offices. These metrics are then aggregated into structured views of application and network health with flexible capabilities for slicing and dicing.  For example:

  • Summary view ranking your web servers by their HTTP response times, and then broken down by the branch office or user desktops accessing them

  • Data center WAN connectivity to each branch office ranked by SLA compliance with a nested breakdown by application

Dashboard

A configurable dashboard provides at-a-glance visualization of the key metrics. Select charts to summarize activity according to the criteria most relevant to your business.  For example, show all web-servers ranked by the volume of requests they are serving, and overlay their response times.  Or show the WAN traffic broken down by region and branch office.  Click through from the dashboard to the Pivot Table view for further analysis and fast troubleshooting.

Pivot Table View

The Enterprise Lens provides detailed analytics via the pivot table view. This provides a hierarchical multi-dimensional view of your data, supporting fast, intuitive analysis.  High-level summary information can be sorted by key metrics, then filtered or broken down to allow root causes to be quickly identified.

For example, view your web traffic broken down by web server.  Rank servers by response time.  View the least performant web server broken down by the sites or users sending the highest volume or requests and compare response times.  Take a look at a breakdown of HTTP errors broken down by error code.  Click through as required for detailed per-client troubleshooting.

Available metrics include network statistics such as:-

  • WAN latency

  • Application response times

  • Bandwidth and application load

  • TCP retransmissions

  • Microbursts

  • Application statistics, for example

    • HTTP error counts

    • VoIP MOS scores

    • Database response times

The pivot table allows aggregation of these with respect to branches, applications or servers. Relevant views can be saved allowing multiple teams to use the same underlying data but to focus on the aspects relevant to their own domains.

Benefits Include

  • Powerful interactive views of your data, organized with flexible user-defined categories

  • At-a-glance identification of the slowest servers or least-performant WAN connections

  • Quickly identify all users or sites impacted by a server issue
