Overview

Corvil is looking to expand its core engineering development team which is responsible for building a high performance, real-time analysis product, utilising the latest software and hardware technologies.

Applicant

The successful applicant will have 2-3 years experience as a C++ Software Engineer in a technology company, ideally servicing the Financial Markets. Practical experience working with IP networks, trading protocols and/or with market data feeds is desirable.

Qualification

Third Level Computer Science or Computer Engineering Degree.

Required Skills

• Expert C++ developer with 2-3 years current commercial experience
• Experience with high-performance systems and multi-threaded application development
• Proficient with templates and with the STL
• In-depth experience with the Linux-based development environments, including tools like gdb and valgrind
• Practical experience with packet capture analysis tools

Desirable Skills

• Python
• XML
• SQL / DBA (Postgres / MySQL)
• Linux System Administration
• TCP/IP Networking
• Test Driven Development
• Linux Kernel Development

This team delivers innovative, automated testing solutions to verify the accuracy, performance, functionality, stress, resilience and use case validation of the company’s products.

Applicant

The successful applicant will have 3+ years of recent test automation experience with Enterprise products.

Qualification

Third Level Computer Science or Computer Engineering Degree

Required Skills

• Experience in writing automated test suites for web applications (JavaScript, HTML, Adobe FLEX, XML) using Selenium and RIATest
• Experienced with Python and Perl scripting languages
• Detailed understanding of testing methodologies
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
• Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills

Desirable Skills

• Detailed knowledge of Linux/Unix
• Good working knowledge of IP networking protocols and systems
• Experience gained in testing applications/systems in a capital markets networking environment

• Strong Linux and Python scripting skills
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
• Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience gained in testing applications/systems in a capital markets networking environment
• Experience in writing automated test suites for web applications (JavaScript, HTML, Adobe FLEX, XML) using Selenium and RIATest
• Experience with trading protocols such as FIX
• Cisco CCNP certification or familiarity with the configuration of Cisco devices
