Overview
Corvil is looking to expand its technical support team which is responsible for supporting a high performance, real-time analysis product, utilizing the latest software and hardware technologies.
Applicant
The successful applicant will have 3+ years experience providing Level 2 technical support for an enterprise product based on Linux/Unix. In addition the applicant must be available to provide on-call support on a scheduled basis.
Qualification
Third Level Computer Science or Computer Engineering Degree
Required Skills
- Strong process discipline with a working knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM system
- In-depth knowledge of Linux system administration, disk/RAID configuration, network configuration, and general troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and network protocols (GRE, MPLS, SNMP, QoS, multicast)
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent verbal and written English-language communication skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience gained in electronic trading and capital markets networking environments would be most relevant
- UNIX scripting languages including shell, python, awk, Perl
- Hands-on experience gained on communications platforms such as network switches, routers, telecoms servers etc.
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification or familiarity with the configuration of Cisco devices
- Experience with trading protocols such as FIX, FAST or related
- Experience in market data connectivity and/or automated trading platforms
- Experiences with commercial database products such as Postgres, Oracle, Sybase
