Synopsis

We are looking for a talented and motivated Sales Engineer to join our North American team. The right candidate will possess the combination of strong networking skills, great communications capabilities and an intimate familiarity with the world of electronic trading.

Corvil is an exciting and dynamic startup with an innovative one-of-a-kind Latency Management System (LMS) product. We are a small highly motivated and skilled team and are looking for the right person to fill a vacancy in our client facing Sales and Engineering Group.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership beginning in the sales process and into the client management stage.
  • Customer facing role:
    o Pre and Post sale engineering and support.
    o Training, implementation management.
    o Client management and feedback - Assess client needs and communicate them to team.
    o Relationship building.
    o Identify and develop opportunities for further integration in the client’s environment.
    o Identify decision makers within client organizations.
  • Use of advanced network latency monitoring tools.

Requirements

  • Self-starter and quick learner who is comfortable working in a dynamic, customer facing role.
  • Firm grasp on role of high frequency trading in the institutional securities business.
    o Trading network support/Algorithmic trading support a strong plus.
  • Excellent experience and working knowledge of IP networking, Cisco routing in particular.
    o Familiarity with Cisco CLI
    o Solid understanding of IP QoS, e.g. Cisco MQC and other QoS management solutions
    o Experience with advanced quality-sensitive services such as VoIP, Video-over-IP and various multi-cast solutions.
    o CCIE/CCNP certifications, CCDP a plus.
  • Proven track record in managing client relationships evidenced by:
    o Successful “Go-Live” implementations.
    o Deepening client relationship.
    o Incremental commercial wins.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills:
    o Candidate must be comfortable presenting to and working with network engineers and network management teams at clients/prospects.
  • Good knowledge of scripting in Perl and/or Python as well as a reasonable level of comfort working in a Linux environment is a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to travel within the US, predominantly to major trading centers. Global travel may also be a requirement.
