Corvil Lens

With Corvil Lens you can quickly and easily make sense of our network data with flexible, interactive and concise views into key metrics — from high-level dashboards to detailed views.

  • Provides at-a-glance visualization through a configurable dashboard of your key metrics
  • Pivot table view provides a hierarchical view of your data
  • Quickly identify all users or sites impacted by a server issue

Corvil Lens takes real-time analytics derived from the network data and provides high-level structured views that are tailored to your business needs — whether that is analyzing performance for your web application by geography, data center, and server, or monitoring VoIP and video quality for each branch office in your corporate network.

Independent categorizations allow the underlying data to be analyzed in multiple ways; nested breakdowns can be added interactively to bring out key patterns; and flexible filtering allows you to focus on the elements of interest. All of this is available in real-time, as it is happening on your network, or for yesterday, last week, or last month. Corvil provides both true, real-time data and historical data tuneable to your business needs.

  • For monitoring a web application, you can rank servers by response time to find the slowest, and break the network traffic down by clients to see who is sending the most requests, and compare response times across clients.
  • In an electronic trading environment, you can summarize all activity by client, with a breakdown by application or gateway; then pivot to rank the performance of each gateway to see which clients are on the slowest gateway.

In all cases, key metrics are measured at a granular level – individual servers, data feeds or network flows. Flexible aggregation policies allow these low-level results to be summarized on demand into highly aggregated dashboards and views that can be named and saved. These views can be interactively sorted, pivoted and filtered for investigation and troubleshooting.
